Since late June, when my family/family friends suffered 2 deaths in quick succession and then I had a lot of stress surrounding my birthday, I haven't been following my diet as well as I should
I still lost some weight last month, but I feel like I could have done better if I didn't do a lot of off-diet eating while dealing with travel, funerals, and what little bit of birthday celebration I could manage (I definitely had cake and cupcakes that week lol)
So I'm trying to crack down on myself a bit. Within reason
So, of course, here I am at 4 PM on day one of trying to be back on the diet, having sweets cravings. And I know it's just because I'm trying not to snack, that I want to snack.
I'm not starving. I had a nice hearty breakfast, including a coffee with sugar in it. I am not deprived. I don't even feel hungry
But. I wanna bake a batch of cookies. And then eat them. Why am I like this

Also I really hate how f1 fans perpetuate the myth that athletes are never allowed to eat carbs / sweets like it makes me want to pull my hair out !! Just bc half of those men walk around with eating disorders unhealthy relationships with food does not mean that ALL of them adhere to the same made up ‘rules’. Like can we all stop like .. group shaming drivers whenever they eat smth sweet on camera..? Like ‘hehe look at him don’t tell his trainer’ like ?? STFU WHATS WRONG WITH UUUUUUU why does the fandom collectively find vicarious joy in policing what these men eat ??

​carbs contribute to PCOS symptoms and can make insulin resistance much worse, so for people with PCOS or type 2 diabetes, limiting carb intake (notice I didn’t say “eliminating”) is generally a good idea. but you’re right, that doesn’t make carbs evil or bad or any other negative moral thing; it just means certain people with certain medical conditions might have to make different choices than someone without those conditions. - signed, someone with PCOS/insulin resistance who fucking loves carbs (unfortunately)
‘bread is bad for you’ ‘rice is bad for you’ sorry im not subscribing to the idea that staple grains that have been integral to cultures for centuries are evil. i love you carbs

Jon had to do an emergency grocery run because we ran out of cat kibble and tried to get more from the vet and they were OUT
Anyway. I was like, as long as you're running to the store, why not grab us a little treat for dessert? We don't really have anything sweet in the house. Maybe one of those tiny cakes we could share? Or something else small from the bakery section

last time i bought bread i noticed the "thin-sliced" version of my regular bread was on sale so i was like great i'll just get that. finally got into it like a week ago. it's not "thin-sliced" it's 40 calories less per slice, it's thinner, narrower, shorter, it looks like bread for a toddler. i keep putting my first knifeful of peanut butter on it and thinking "surely that's not enough for the whole slice 🤨" and then it IS. 😭 i'm never falling for this again.
